Here is what you will need! Appropriate clothing for studio rehearsal, one pair of 2-3 in heels and your tennis shoes! Get ready to walk the runway!

4:30 pm -5:30 pm

return to gravitate DSM at 500 Locust Street. You will have a two hour break to relax, get ready for the Etiquette dinner beginning at 6:30 pm! Dress attire is White dress and red lips! heels of your choice and wear the DSMFW Model Club earrings. Get ready for an elegant evening with Miss Lauren Burt.

Meet your instructor

 

Lauren M.G. Burt, founder of The Art of Etiquette, is an anthropologist of modern day etiquette. Certified by the internationally recognized, The Etiquette Institute, Lauren has consulted for businesses, organizations and individual clients including the Greater Des Moines Partnership, Des Moines Art Center, Des Moines Golf and Country Club, Drake University, Grandview University, Easter Seals of Iowa and various sororities and fraternities.

Lauren also works with children, young adults and young professionals. She is the creator of the series, “Little Manners: Everyday Etiquette for Children” held at the Iowa Governor’s Mansion, Terrace Hill. She is the past resident etiquette columnist for The Gazette, an etiquette contributor for Dsm Magazine and former etiquette columnist for Gannett publications.

In her community work, Lauren is past president of the Junior League of Des Moines, a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute, a Business Record “Forty under 40” recipient and received the Lt. Governor’s Volunteer of the Year Award. She was named Young Professional of the Year by The Des Moines Register and Juice. Outside of her position as Worldwide Communications Manager at Kemin Industries, she is an etiquette consultant promoting essential etiquette for everyday life.
